Artistic Director, John Kowalczyk, wanted to design a painting that had depth and used a color scheme that could easily be adapted to any room. While the traditional Agave plant has colors that are similar to those depicted in the original painting, John always thought it would be cool to have one session where everyone produced the painting with a slightly different color scheme.
While this has yet to happen, customers frequently twist the colors of this painting to fit a color pattern in the room they are going to hang it in. The layers upon layers of textured and succulent agave gives this painting the depth that was intended, and makes it slightly more challenging than some of the other paintings in the library.
Stay true to the original colors, or mix your own to create a truly unique genus of agave.
